Dr. Nieves was born and raised in Puerto Rico where she graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Puerto Rico Medical Sciences Campus. She proceeded to complete her Internal Medicine residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Cornell in New York City, followed by a Gastroenterology fellowship at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Massachusetts. Dr. Nieves specializes in general gastroenterology and some of her interests include inflammatory bowel disease and irritable bowel syndrome.

Dr. Nieves is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. She is fluent in both English and Spanish and strives to develop and maintain good relationships with her patients. She loves spending her free time traveling and enjoying the outdoors with her husband and two children.
